Wittenborg is a small University of Applied Sciences, appointed by the Netherlands Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1987 and offers English-taught accredited degree programmes in business to around 200 students with more than 35 nationalities.
Wittenborg students are motivated and entrepreneurial, and have made a clear choice for a small institute and high quality. Experienced and qualified lecturers with industry backgrounds guarantee the quality and the high levels achieved within the programmes. Wittenborg also works with Universities in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Wittenborg sees itself not only as an education institute, but also as an intermediary between its ambitious students and their future employers. For this reason the school is proud of its good relations with employers, from SMEs to corporations. The curriculum has been created on the basis of requirements from the work field, and is regularly reviewed by representatives from industry and business, keeping it up to date. This means that Wittenborg Graduates always possess the required knowledge and competencies to start their careers successfully.
Since the summer of 2010, Wittenborg University is situated in Apeldoorn, as a result of a long term agreement of cooperation with the city. The combination of this green, modern city with its culture and central location makes Apeldoorn the ideal location for many local and international companies, an essential ingredient for the future of Wittenborg and its students.
In the past 20 years, Wittenborg has built an extensive network within the national and international business community, and intends to increase this from the new Apeldoorn location. In cooperation with companies and government organisations, new programmes are being created, such as the Bachelor degree (BBA) in Entrepreneurship. Wittenborg intends to support local business and industry by offering professional Master programmes in business administration and related fields.

Wittenborg Net, or Wi-Net, stands for the Wittenborg University Network, which is the interface between the Wittenborg University students and real life business projects. Wittenborg Net is committed to providing the business school students with authentic business environments that they can study, and sometimes participate in.
Wittenborg Net aims to create new brands, create and support new companies – for and together with its business school students. The Network currently supports eight active business brands in the area of consultancy, training, research, labour supply, and website solutions. Furthermore, Wi-Net provides students with a platform in which they can develop business models and plans, without taking personal risk.
Student Life
Studying in the Netherlands is not the same as studying in the UK or in the USA or Australia. Although most people in the Netherlands speak English, the Dutch culture is completely European and students will often find themselves in a culture which is even more unfamiliar to them than they expected!
This positive experience is intensely enhanced through exposure to the financial and social motor of the developing European federation, the EU.
