Webster University is the accredited American University in The Netherlands, offering Bachelor and Master programs. In our Bachelor program we teach according to the American Liberal Arts & Sciences tradition, i.e. a broad and diversified curriculum offering good opportunities for high employabilty. Switching majors after your first year of study is no problem, and each major allows access to a number of different Masters degree programs for which no bridging year is necessary. We have over 100 campuses in the US, Europe (Austria, Switzerland, UK and The Netherlands) and Asia (China, Thailand), and currently enable 22,000 students worldwide to achieve their educational and professional goals.

The Webster-World Traveler Program awards one round-trip coach-class ticket to qualified students from the student's home campus to another eligible Webster international site. Students can transfer seamlessly within the global network so education plans don’t have to go on hold due to transfer, promotion, or change in address. In addition, Webster’s international campus network provides a rich international learning environment that gives our students a competitive edge to succeed in an ever-changing world.
- Study in English A degree from an accredited American university is recognized throughout the world. Therefore, at Webster University we require that all classes and discourse be conducted in Academic English. Students will be tested for their proficiency in the English language during the admissions process.
- Classroom and Online Options Another advantage you’ll experience at Webster is the opportunity to select from outstanding classroom and online offerings. Online courses adhere to the same high academic standards as our traditional classroom program. However, rather than attending class at a specific time one night a week or on weekends, the online program lets you pursue your degree anytime, any place.
In addition to saving commuting time, parking, and child care, the online format lets you complete weekly assignments and projects at your own pace during the week. - Serving the Needs of Working Adults Webster offers five convenient terms (or start dates) per year. Our graduate programs provide career-minded adults with knowledge and skills to advance their careers, enhance their professional development, or embark on a whole new career direction. Webster University was founded to serve the needs of working adults: part-time (evening) students. We know and accept that to these adult students, their academic study usually ranks behind family and work obligations. We therefore try to have maximum flexibility by offering classes in standard, weekend, off-site and online format. You will learn in a supportive environment that offers personal attention, a lively exchange of ideas, and the chance to network with professionals in many fields.
- Flexible Academic Format Webster offers five terms per year. Most undergraduate classes last eight weeks; graduate courses are nine weeks in duration. For graduate students classes meet one evening per week from 18.00 to 22.00 o'clock.

Webster World Traveler Program
Study successfully at Webster University for one semester and Webster will buy your ticket to study at another oversees international campus!
Available to all undergraduate and graduate degree seeking students registered at selected Webster University campus, the Webster-World Traveler Program awards one round-trip coach-class ticket to qualified Webster University students from the student's home campus to another eligible Webster international site.
For students enrolled at a European campus, eligible travel includes Webster campuses in the United States, Thailand or China (not all programs are available at all campuses).
Counseling Services
Reasons for coming to the counseling service may not always be clear and well defined. A general feeling of discomfort, or knowing that some things have not been going well personally, may indicate the right time to clarify your situation in a safe and confidential environment.
All Webster students are entitled to 5 free sessions with the counselor throughout their degree. Students are encouraged to make use of this service during their academic career. The counselors are committed to the concept of accountability and whatever is discussed within the counselling session is dealt with in a strictly confidential manner.
The counseling service is located at the Webster Leiden campus, on Fridays, in a private room. Appointments should be arranged beforehand by contacting the counselor.

Felicia is American and has lived in the Netherlands with her Dutch husband since 1998. She has worked as a professional counselor in the U.S and Canada and is currently pursuing a Dutch degree in Art Therapies.

Accreditation
Webster University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association, 312-263-0456, www.ncahlc.org. The accreditation, which was awarded in 1925, includes undergraduate and graduate levels at all locations where the University offers programs. Next to the American accreditation, the bachelor programs (IBMS and ABSS) are also accredited by the NVAO.
